Calne Model Railway Show '25 (3) - Newvaddon , Lintor, Aberware, Old Parrock, Weslo, Heybridge Wharf

This video is the third part of a set of three filmed at the 29th Annual Calne Model Railway Show organised by Bentley MRG in May 2025. On this occasion there were over 17th diverse layouts from clubs and individuals along with the usual trade stands. Newvaddon Parkway in N gauge, created by Redruth Model Railway Club, is set on the main line Penzance and the Cornwall/Devon border. The station has two branch lines and a large variety of trains pass through it ranging from goods trains (carrying oil, coal and freight-liner containers) to busy passenger trains. Swindon Model Railway Club displayed Lintor Town in OO gauge. This is a fictitious GWR branch line terminus in an agricultural area of the West Country and the period around 1923. Aberware by Stephen Dodd is built to the TT120 gauge and based on the lines around Aberthaw, Rhoose and Cowbridge in South Wales. Paul Rhodes' contribution is Old Parrock in OO9. This is a small halt and coal yard to the north of Ashdown Forest in Sussex, Southern England. It is an example of a light railway with minimal passenger trains and short freight trains. Weslo Steels in EM Gauge was Dave Tailby's offering. The railway represents a small steel terminal in West London. Last (and by no means least), is Heybridge Wharf, a layout in 3mm F/S by Michael Corp. It is set somewhere in Suffolk in Eastern England and is another light railway.
