Elbernita "Twinkie" Clark - Ye Shall Receive Power (Full Album // 1981)

Twinkie Clark is a gospel singer and pianist from Detroit, most famous for her work with The Clark Sisters, a famous gospel group that had a gospel/disco crossover hit in 1981 with "You Brought the Sunshine", amongst many others. Twinkie wrote all the songs and music and produced everything on this album herself. Real talent, shame more people outside of gospel don't appreciate her!! Kinda a left field addition to the MUSICAL FANZINE YOUTUBE CATALOG but this is really beautiful stuff. It may be because of quarantine/not going outside or seeing anyone for weeks at a time but this is really hitting. "Awake O Zion" almost (almost...) makes me believe in god... Harmonies out the wazoo. Really really good, uplifting stuff, check it out. 1. Power 0:00 2. Fix Me Jesus 7:25 3. His Yoke Is Easy 14:14 4. In Him There Is No Sorrow 18:38 5. Awake O Zion 24:34 6. My Soul Loves Jesus 30:30
