Cesar Franck's Prelude, Fugue & Variation Opus 18 by David Toto

Cesar Franck's Prelude, Fugue and Variation is a deeply lyrical and contemplative work that combines the intellectual structure of Bach with the expressive warmth of Romantic music. The Prelude opens with a wistful melody that feels like an intimate confession. The Fugue develops this musical idea through interweaving voices, creating a sense of movement, reflection and growing emotional intensity. In the final Variation, the original melody returns, surrounded by delicate, flowing figures that give it a new lightness and radiance.
