Thailand's Wonderful Wildlife: Eagles, Kites, Kingfishers and more on Koh Mak, Part 1

Koh Mak is an absolute jewel in the eastern Gulf of Thailand. This beautiful, quiet, friendly little island south of Koh Chang, only a short speedboat ride from mainland Trat on the Cambodian border, is a paradise for beach lovers and anyone who craves unspoiled nature. It also offers a surprisingly wide variety of birds, easily found and photographed once you have some idea where to look. In this first episode, we begin our 10 days there meeting up with old friends like the Collared kingfishers, and I also have a totally unexpected encounter with a surprise raptor.
