Faith For Family Health initiative(3FHi)& Ministry of Health functionalize Kitgum Interfaith Network

On September 22, 2026, the Faith For Family Health initiative (3FHi), in collaboration with the Ministry of Health and Kitgum Local Government (funded by The David and Lucile Packard Foundation) strengthened capacity of Interfaith religious and cultural leaders in sexual reproductive health and other core broader health challenges like Malaria ,Sickle cell etc. The Inter-faith network for health coordination structure was fuctionalised and informed by the district situation analysis of the district key health performance indicators, action plan and advocacy calendar were developed and mechanisms for implementation together with the district leadership agreed upon. Agreed key priorities include;Prevention and mitigation of teenage pregnancy, mobile for increased antenatal care and health facility deliveries, promote immunization/vaccination, prevent Gender based violence and ensure disease prevention.
