CAIN & BROOKE LIGERTWOOD - JESUS LIFTED ME - FAITH IN MUSIC LYRIC VIDEO

This reflection on *“Jesus Lifted Me” by CAIN & Brooke Ligertwood* is like a testimony set to melody—raw, grateful, and overflowing with joy. It’s not just a song, it’s a confession of transformation: from sinner to saved, from despair to freedom, from sinking deep to standing tall. The refrain “Glory, hallelujah, Jesus lifted me” rings out like a banner of victory, reminding us that every believer has a “pit” moment, but also a “lifted” moment when Christ intervened. The lyrics don’t sugarcoat the human condition—we were blind, broken, sinking, and powerless. Yet before we even thought of Him, He thought of us. Before His name ever crossed our lips, He took the cross for us. That is the Gospel: a love that acts first, saves fully, and forgives completely. What makes this song so powerful is its movement from personal testimony (“I was in trouble… Jesus lifted me”) to communal worship (“How could I not lift my hands?”). It reminds us that forgiveness isn’t just a private gift—it demands a public response of worship, gratitude, and surrender. The more we reflect on the cross, the more natural it feels to lift our hands, our voices, our lives, and say, “Glory, hallelujah.” At its heart, this song is a reminder that the blood of Jesus is not just history—it’s power for today. It’s the reason we’re alive, the reason we’re changed, and the reason we’ll keep singing forever. Every believer can join in this chorus: “Yes, He did—I am forgiven.”    • CAIN, Brooke Ligertwood - Jesus Lifted Me ...
