Welcome to "Nepal Times", bringing you the latest political developments, national updates, and important news from Nepal. In today's report, we cover Rastriya Swatantra Party (RSP) Chairman Rabi Lamichhane's important remarks during his visit to Chitwan, where he addressed party leaders and workers on political discipline, leadership responsibility, organizational unity, and public accountability. Lamichhane expressed concerns about growing arrogance among party members following the RSP's electoral success, warning leaders and workers against becoming disconnected from ordinary citizens. He emphasized that the public mandate of 182 seats should be treated as a responsibility to serve the people rather than an opportunity to seek power and positions. The report also covers his views on internal party competition, candidate selection for upcoming local elections, political loyalty, the proposed Candidate Club system, and the importance of remaining committed to the party even when individuals fail to secure desired positions.
