Midnight Psalms 2 - The Son Reigns

The nations rage, but heaven isn't shaken. The Son is already on His throne. 👑 "The Son Reigns" is Psalm 2, sung as a prayer. Psalm 2 opens with the nations in an uproar against God and His Anointed, and it ends with heaven calmly answering that the King is already on His throne. "The Son Reigns" tells that same story in order: the plotting kings, the God who isn't shaken, the decree "You are My Son," and the invitation to come and trust Him. We kept the psalm's warning, but we sang it the way the psalm closes, as an open door: "Blessed are all who take refuge in Him." The bridge borrows "Be still and know" from Psalm 46, which echoes the same truth. It's Psalm 2 from beginning to end, set to music for a church to sing. 📖 Scripture: Psalm 2 (all twelve verses) This song is drawn from the whole of Psalm 2.
