California's king tides are back: Friday morning the Los Angeles tide gauge hit 7.04 feet, about a foot above forecast, and flood alerts run from San Diego to San Francisco Bay.
In October these tides broke records and flooded Newport Beach, Pacific Coast Highway, Mission Beach and Mill Valley.
The highest tides come Sunday and Monday mornings, with 10 to 16 foot surf on the Central Coast. Figures as of Friday, November 6, 2026.
