🔥 Tandoori Chicken on the Stove! 🍗 Craving delicious, juicy and flavorful Tandoori Chicken but don’t have a tandoor or oven? Try this easy Stove-Top Tandoori Chicken recipe at home! The chicken is marinated in a flavorful blend of yogurt, spices and aromatic ingredients, then cooked on the stove until perfectly tender, juicy and beautifully charred. 😋 This homemade Tandoori Chicken is spicy, smoky, juicy and absolutely delicious! Serve it with onion rings, lemon wedges and your favorite chutney for a perfect meal or appetizer. Ingredients: Whole Chicken Legs - 2 (approx. 500 g) Yogurt (curd) – 3 tablespoons Ginger-garlic paste – 2 teaspoons Chili powder – 3 tablespoons Turmeric powder – ¼ teaspoon Cumin powder – ½ teaspoon Garam masala – ½ teaspoon Dried fenugreek leaves – ½ teaspoon Salt – ½ teaspoon Lemon juice – 2 teaspoons Oil – 3 tablespoons Butter – for brushing 👩‍🍳 Steps: Wash and pat dry the chicken pieces. Make slits on each thigh and on each leg, as shown in the video. To make hung curd, add about 200 ml of curd or plain yogurt to a strainer placed over a bowl. Allow the water to drain completely. This should take about 1 hour. Mix all the ingredients to make the marinade. Add the chicken and coat well with the mixture. Marinate the chicken overnight in the refrigerator. Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a pan or tawa and place the chicken legs side by side. Make sure the chicken legs are completely coated with the marinade. Do not add the remaining marinade to the pan. Cook the chicken on low heat for about 10 minutes. Flip the chicken and cook on low heat for another 10 minutes. Flip again and brush the chicken with 2 tablespoons of butter. Cook on low heat for another 5 minutes. Flip the chicken and baste it with the oil and butter from the pan. Cook on low heat for another 5 minutes. Continue flipping and basting with butter, cooking on low heat until the chicken is tender, fully cooked, and nicely charred. Switch off the heat. Move the chicken legs to the sides of the pan, leaving space in the center for a small heatproof bowl. Infusing Smoke for a Tandoori Flavor (Optional Step) Place a small piece of charcoal directly on the gas stove and heat it until it begins to glow. Place a small steel bowl or a piece of foil in the center of the pan. Carefully pick up the glowing charcoal with tongs and place it in the bowl. Drizzle a little ghee over the charcoal, then immediately cover the pan with a lid. Allow the chicken to absorb the smoky flavor for 15 minutes. Remove the charcoal and serve the chicken as a starter or appetizer. 👍 If you enjoyed this recipe, please LIKE, SHARE & SUBSCRIBE
