In this video, we take a slow and peaceful walk through Shimen Village, located in the highlands of Huaxi, Guiyang. Built along the mountainside, the village is surrounded by green terraced fields, rolling mountains and peaceful countryside. As we walk through the village and farmland, there is very little to disturb the natural rhythm of the countryside — just footsteps, wind, insects, birds and the gentle sounds of rural life. Shimen Village is also a historic Miao village with a long cultural heritage, with records tracing its history back more than six centuries. No talking. No crowds.
