Hyderabad To Bengaluru Road Trip With Pets | Monsoon Drive | Hyderabad To Sakleshpur Part 1 | NH44 Latest Road Conditions in Monsoon | Annual Toll Pass Renewal | ibis Bengaluru Hebbal - Pet Friendly Stay option in Bengaluru.
Planning a pet-friendly road trip from Hyderabad to Bengaluru and onwards to Sakleshpur?
In this video, we take you along on the first leg of our Hyderabad to Sakleshpur road trip, driving from Hyderabad to Bengaluru with our Shih Tzu, Rio. This was a monsoon road trip in August 2026, mostly on NH44, with a few food stops along the way.
We started early in the morning around 6:15 AM and reached Bengaluru by around 3:30 PM. In this episode, we cover the route, road conditions, tolls, food stops, our experience driving through the monsoon, and our overnight stay in Bengaluru.
📍 Route Taken:
Hyderabad → Kurnool → Anantapur → Bengaluru (NH44)
🚗 Journey Details:
• Start Time: 6:15 AM
• Arrival in Bengaluru: ~3:30 PM
• Route: Mostly NH44
• Travelled with our pet Shih Tzu, Rio
• Overnight stay: ibis Bengaluru Hebbal
🍳 Breakfast Stop — Driftnation Food Court
Our first stop was around 7:30 AM at Driftnation Food Court.
We've been stopping here regularly during our road trips because it is pet-friendly, the food is good, and it makes for a convenient breakfast break on the Hyderabad–Bengaluru route. It has become our default pit stop whenever we're driving this way.
🍦 Nellai — Jaggery Ice Cream & Halwa
After Anantapur, we made another stop at Nellai for some jaggery-based treats. We tried their jaggery ice cream and jaggery halwa before getting back on the highway.
🛣️ NH44 Road Conditions
The road conditions on NH44 were good overall during our drive. We did encounter some patchwork stretches in Andhra Pradesh, which isn't unexpected during the monsoon season. We also encountered a lot of truck traffic till Anantapur.
For the most part, however, NH44 made this a comfortable and straightforward drive towards Bengaluru.
💳 Annual Toll Pass
We had recently renewed our ₹3,075 annual toll pass, and it worked without any issues during this trip.
Across the journey, we covered 9 toll plazas using the annual toll pass. The toll at Hyderabad ORR was separate and had to be paid via FastTag.
🏨 Stay At ibis Bengaluru Hebbal
We reached Bengaluru at around 3:30 PM and checked into ibis Bengaluru Hebbal.
Since there were three of us travelling along with Rio, we booked two rooms. The room tariff was around ₹5,500 per night per room, without breakfast.
The rooms were on the smaller side, but comfortable enough for an overnight stay. The biggest advantage of staying in Hebbal was the location. Since we had to leave Bengaluru the next morning and continue towards Sakleshpur, this made it much easier to get out of the city and continue our journey.
This is Part 1 of our Hyderabad to Sakleshpur road trip series. In the next episode, we leave Bengaluru and continue towards Sakleshpur for the next part of our monsoon road trip.
If you're planning a Hyderabad to Bengaluru road trip with pets, this video should give you a good idea about the route, road conditions, useful food stops, tolls and a convenient overnight stay before continuing towards Sakleshpur.
Hope you enjoy the video!
