Police Academy (1984) Cast Then and Now 2026, Who Tragically Passed Away?

A city so desperate for cops it dropped every requirement — and in marched the misfits: a wise-cracking troublemaker, a human sound machine, a gun-obsessed sweetheart, a gentle giant, a screaming sergeant, and a gloriously confused commandant. Police Academy was rude, silly, and one of the biggest comedy hits of the eighties, spawning six sequels and a generation of quoting fans. But more than forty years later, what happened to the cast? In this Police Academy then and now, we catch up with everyone — Mahoney, Karen, Jones, Harris, Callahan, Fackler — and remember the beloved faces we've lost. Some stars are still making us laugh today, while others we've sadly had to say goodbye to. An honest, warm look back at the class that couldn't shoot straight. 👉 Comment your favourite Police Academy character, and SUBSCRIBE to SCREEN REWIND for more Then & Now cast stories every week.
