Episode 19 of our beginner-friendly Full Python Course: WORKING WITH LIBRARIES! Today you learn what a library is, how to import it, and how to use three of the most popular ones. We start with the standard library (math, json, pathlib) versus packages from PyPI installed with pip. Then requests: fetch JSON from a public API, check status, and dig into the data. Next, pandas in sixty seconds: load a tiny CSV of city temperatures, print the table, mean and max, and filter warm cities. Then matplotlib: make a bar chart and save it as a PNG. We finish with a practice exercise that fetches data, builds a DataFrame, and plots it, plus the full solution. Every output you see was really run. ⏱️ Timestamps 0:00 Intro 0:24 What is a library? 0:56 Import basics 1:40 pip & reading the docs 2:17 requests: fetch JSON 3:01 pandas in 60 seconds 3:31 pandas: load & explore 3:56 matplotlib: make a chart 4:25 matplotlib: save a bar chart 5:04 Practice exercise 5:31 Solution 6:02 Recap & next episode ▶️ Previous episode: Ep 18 – List Comprehensions & Generators 📚 Next episode: Ep 20 👉 Subscribe to After School and follow the Python Full Course for Beginners playlist so you don't miss an episode! #python #learnpython #pythonforbeginners #pythonfullcourse #pythontutorial #pythonlibraries #requests #pandas #matplotlib
