I left my university dorm and started apartment hunting in Zibo, China 🇨🇳 — but how much does it actually cost to rent a decent apartment here? After moving to Zibo for my PhD, I initially stayed in the university dormitory, but I wasn’t fully comfortable there. So I decided to look for an off-campus apartment and document the complete experience — from searching and visiting different places to comparing prices, facilities and finally finding an apartment that suited me better. 🏠 In Zibo, you can generally find normal to well-furnished 2-room apartments for around 1,000–2,500 RMB per month, depending on the location, building, furniture, condition and facilities.
