In 𝙎𝙝𝙖𝙙𝙤𝙬 𝙞𝙣 𝙈𝙮 𝙑𝙚𝙞𝙣𝙨, 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝗶𝗿 builds a small film about time — or rather, about impermanence: the transient and mutable nature of things, the time that slips away, that erases, that turns every presence into an echo and every gesture into a memory.
It is a visual meditation on the fragile bond between memory and desire, told through the hypnotic grammar of black and white, where every shadow seems to guard a secret.
Light cuts across faces like a blade, as in an old painting carefully engraved. Gestures repeat like an ancient ritual: a bartender pours a drink, a tarot card — the Wheel of Fortune — foretells change.
When the scene returns, the girl is no longer the same, she has changed, as everything does when passing through time.
Between one repetition and another, bodies dance through smoke, suspended in a liminal space between presence and disappearance.
In the final sequence, a mysterious hand draws a bracelet made of branches from a hollowed-out book and places it on the wrist of the new female figure — a symbolic gesture sealing continuity and return, the necessity of renewal after each loss.
As in all of 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝘁𝗲 𝗡𝗼𝗶𝗿 ’s poetics, vision becomes sound and sound becomes image: an endless cycle, a gesture of resilience to oblivion.
Darkness is not negation, but the space of metamorphosis.
