Fishing Charleston in Sporty Conditions… We Went Anyway

Three buddies, one windy October Sunday and some sporty conditions off Charleston, South Carolina. The forecast wasn’t perfect, but we wanted to wet the lines regardless of whether we caught anything. We found a few bites early, then spent the rest of the day searching—inshore, around the Charleston jetties, nearshore and offshore. When the bite completely shut down, we tried one final spot before calling it and ending the day at Red’s Ice House on Shem Creek. We may not have filled the cooler, but a bad day fishing and boating is still a great day in the Lowcountry.
