Is Sci-Fi Foreshadowing Our Future? Bringing Ascendants From Screen to Page w/Don Schechter (Ep 146)

Don Schechter is the author of Ascendants, an international best selling science fiction technothriller about a future where proof of an afterlife collides with corporate power, scientific ambition, authoritarianism, and the collapse of religious ideology. He is also the founder and CEO of Charles River Media, a producer, director, professor of the practice at Tufts University in the film and media studies program, and co-host of the sci-fi podcast No Win Scenario. Don joins us to talk about science fiction as a rehearsal for tomorrow, why future stories reveal today’s anxieties, and how questions around AI, biotechnology, power, class, and belief shape both Ascendants and the world we are living in now. 🔗Check out Don's socials, an Ascendants below ➡️https://ascendantsbook.com/ ➡️  / donschechter   ➡️  / donschechter   🎧 Listen to Behind the Camera Podcast: ➡️ https://open.spotify.com/show/5e1CMBc... ➡️ https://podcasts.apple.com/us/podcast... 📖 Buy my Book! ➡️https://amzn.eu/d/0a1IExiT 🔗 All links in one place: ➡️ https://linktr.ee/behindthecamerapod 💙 Support the show / bonus content: ➡️   / behindthecamerapodcast   📩 Business enquiries / Local Sessions collaborations: ➡️ Andy@BehindTheCameraStudios.com
