On this trip, I traveled from Scottsbluff to Spearfish, taking Nebraska Highway 26 East before joining US Route 385 North. I passed through Alliance, home to the quirky Carhenge monument, then continued north through Chadron, gateway to the pine-covered bluffs of the Pine Ridge region.
