Chicago On-Foot - A Runner's Perspective

I started this run at dawn in downtown Chicago, when the streets were still quiet and the city was just beginning to wake up. From the Loop and the Chicago River to the Lake Michigan shoreline, this run became a different way to experience the city. No tour bus. No car. Just running. Along the way, I passed some of the places that make Chicago such a special running city—downtown streets, the Riverwalk, the lakefront, the skyline, the beach, and harbors. At 63, running is no longer just about getting faster. It's about seeing where the road can still take you. This is Chicago from a runner's perspective.
