In 1983, the world came close to nuclear war twice, and almost nobody knew. A Soviet officer stared at a screen that said American missiles were on the way. Weeks later, a NATO exercise looked so real that Soviet forces went on alert. This is the true story of Flight 007, Stanislav Petrov, Able Archer 83, and a secret report that stayed classified for 25 years.
