#booktube #bookcollection #ghoststories #mrjames Join me for a look at this very interesting and eclectic goody bag of a collection, M.R. James: The Book of Ghost Stories (1984), in which editor Peter Haining assembles a slew of spooky illustrations to accompany assorted profiles of and essays by and about M.R. James, the undisputed king of the traditional British ghost story. Also featuring stories by some of James' favorite practitioners of the terror tale, J. Sheridan Le Fanu and Erckman-Chatrain...plus an appreciation of the author by none other than Christopher Lee.
