Circular Tank - Reinforced Concrete - Full Design Details

This video illustrates the design procedure for circular tank. The design steps summarizes the loading configuration and straining actions. These two parameters were described on the cylindrical wall and circular plate. The ring force and shearing forces in some references are corrected by correction factors. These correction factors simply calculated from the balancing moment between floor-wall connection, using shaker El Bahiry handbook. This video was illustrated simply without the correction factors. Finally, it should be noted that the 3-D model for circular tank is the most accurate behavior for the tank. However, Manuel calculations are very important conceptually and practically.
