Watch Tower offers a unique camping and trekking experience deep within the Periyar Tiger Reserve, combining adventure, relaxation, and wildlife observation. Guests stay at the Edapalayam Watch Tower, surrounded by pristine wilderness, offering a rare opportunity to connect with nature. This two-day program is ideal for nature enthusiasts, bird watchers, and adventure seekers who wish to experience the forest in comfort while observing wildlife and engaging in short treks. 📅 Program Schedule Day 1: Arrive at Thekkady and report at Tribal Heritage (TH) EDC Office near Bamboo Grove at 1:00 PM. After entry formalities, guests are transferred to Boat Landing by shuttle bus. Aboard a boat to Edapalayam Jetty, followed by a short trek to the watch tower. Check-in at the watch tower, followed by evening tea, dinner, and an overnight stay amidst the serene forest. Day 2: Early morning short trek and birding guided by forest experts. Breakfast provided post-trek. Leisure time at the watch tower before check-out after lunch. Boat transfer back to boat landing, from where guests can board return transportation.
