" I Love You Best " - Official Music Video

From a simple memory of a game my mother would play with me and my siblings, to a phone call from a friend saying she ‘thought she had written a song’. My mother would tell me, my brother, and my sister, “I love you” with a natural response being “I love you too, Momma”. Mom would always follow that up with “I love you More”. My brother and sister would play along in a game of “back and forth” with “I Love you More” ending at some point with “we both love each other the same”. When Mom would say “I Love You More” to me, I would always reply “Nope”. Michele, my friend that ‘though she wrote a song’, had a similar game she and her husband would play with their grandkids. Michele said can help me turn this idea into a song. I said "sure" but was surprised to open my email and find 8 pages of “the song”. I called Michele back and laughingly said “that’s going to be a really long song”. We widdled down the thoughts and what was left was a simple and heartfelt message of thankfulness and gratitude to someone’s partner who been through the ups and downs, the struggles, the highs and lows, the good times and the bad. In my case, it’s a message to Wendy. A “thank you” for believing that there was a good man inside of the person who was not always acting like or showing it. Addiction and recovery are not easy to go through, especially when you aren’t the one with the addiction. She is always working to make me a better person even when I didn’t deserve that kind of patience, kindness or love. I have the life and family I do because of her. She (Wendy) is the best person I know. I hope you all Love this song. I'm so grateful for your support and by supporting me, you're making it possible for me to record, film and edit my work.
