The Senate impeachment court admitted key financial documents—including Duterte's SALNs, Anti-Money Laundering Council (AMLC) records, Bureau of Internal Revenue filings, and bank statements—while excluding Commission on Audit (COA) records tied to withdrawn charges. The court also reimposed a gag order preventing both sides from publicly debating the dropped articles. Out of four original articles of impeachment, the prosecution dropped three, leaving Article II (Unexplained Wealth) as the sole remaining charge. Prosecutors allege she failed to truthfully declare assets in her Statements of Assets, Liabilities, and Net Worth (SALNs). Her defense team is scheduled to begin presenting its evidence and witnesses on Monday, November 9, 2026. Ahead of the hearing, one of her 25 listed defense witnesses, former law dean Ralph Sarmiento, declined to testify.
