BNCT 101: “Inside-Out” Radiation—How Boron + Neutrons Target Cancer Cells
What if we could load cancer cells with a tiny “target” and then fire an invisible beam that only detonates inside those cells? That’s BNCT (Boron Neutron Capture Therapy). It’s already used clinically in Japan and is rapidly entering clinical trials in Europe and beyond. On my trip to Taiwan for my own therapy journey, friends at Taichung Veterans General Hospital invited me to their department when one of the founding pioneers of BNCT from Japan visited—I’m sharing what I learned.
