Study Challenge – Day 03
Today was all about staying consistent! ✨ I planned out my day with a to-do list 📝, tackled some study goals during my free time at uni 🎓, and wrapped up the night with a cozy study session at home 🌙.
Every little effort counts, and we’re slowly building that strong study habit together!

Study Tip
What is Spaced Repetition?
Spaced Repetition is a learning method where you review information at gradually increasing intervals over time, instead of cramming it all at once.
For example:
• Day 1: Learn it
• Day 2: Review it
• Day 4: Review again
• Day 7: Review again
• Day 14: Final review
This method is based on how our memory works—we forget things over time, but if we review the material right before we’re about to forget, we strengthen the memory.
Why is Spaced Repetition Important?
1. Fights the Forgetting Curve
• According to research by psychologist Hermann Ebbinghaus, we forget most of what we learn within a few days. Spaced repetition helps you review material before it’s lost.
2. Improves Long-Term Retention
• The more often your brain retrieves the same information, the stronger the memory becomes. This makes it easier to remember things for exams, presentations, or real life.
3. Saves Time in the Long Run
• Instead of re-learning everything from scratch, you just refresh it at the right moments. This is way more efficient than cramming.
4. Boosts Confidence
• When you recall information successfully over time, it builds your confidence for exams or discussions.
How to Do It Effectively?
• Use apps like:
• Anki (most popular)
• Quizlet (with spaced repetition mode)
• Notion + Reminders
• Make your own flashcards for key points, definitions, formulas, etc.
• Stick to a review schedule that grows over time.
A Simple Example:
Let’s say you’re learning about soil layers.
• Day 1: Learn them using a diagram
• Day 2: Test yourself with flashcards
• Day 4: Close your book and draw it from memory
• Day 7: Explain it to a friend
• Day 14: Review it again—maybe try a quiz
