“May we smile more than we cry.” [English Translation] When I first started making songs with Suno, I wrote a few short, simple lines in English—words I wanted to say to my daughter—and set them to music. I loved the song so much that it drew me into the world of making music with AI. But then I forgot the username and password for that first free account, and over time, the song slipped from my mind. Today, I happened to recover the account and rediscovered this dear old song. I’ve now edited it using what I’ve learned along the way. I’m so happy to finally share with you, my subscribers, the song that helped Soundpoem begin. In this poem, I wanted to express my wish to laugh with my daughter and to share her tears when she cries. As I imagined us looking into each other’s eyes, I thought of a parent and child as two mirrors reflecting one another. I see something of my own heart in her expressions, just as her feelings are reflected in my eyes. The poem ends with a simple wish: “May we smile more than we cry.” Even on the days when we must cry together, I want to stay by her side—and keep making more memories of smiling together. Although I wrote this poem for my daughter, I think it could also be shared with anyone you love. You’ll find the original poem and a few words about it below. ----------------------- Twin Mirrors / Soundpoem I smile in your eye I cry in your eye We always look into each other Just like twin mirrors How I love you my dear Let me smile with you my dear Let me cry with you my dear May we smile more than we cry -------------------------------- [한글 번역] 1. I smile in your eye I cry in your eye We always look into each other 우리는 언제나 서로를 빤히 들여다보지 Just like twin mirrors 마치 한 쌍의 거울처럼 How I love you, my dear Let me smile with you, my dear Let me cry with you, my dear May we smile more than we cry I smile in your eye
