Are our children really safe in Pakistan? Recent heartbreaking incidents involving children have once again raised serious questions about child safety, parenting, hospital safety, social responsibility, and the protection of innocent children. In this video, I discuss some of the recent heartbreaking cases reported in Pakistan, including the tragic case of a 5-year-old girl in Haripur and the heartbreaking death of 14 newborn babies in the PIMS hospital fire in Islamabad. But this video is not only about the news. It is about YOU as a parent. How can we make our children safer? Should we teach children only about strangers? How can parents recognize warning signs? Why do children sometimes stay silent when something is wrong? How can we create an environment where our children feel safe enough to tell us everything? In this video, I also talk about body boundaries, good touch and bad touch, online safety, secrets, communication between parents and children, child protection, and the importance of teaching both boys and girls about respect and personal boundaries. As parents, giving our children good education, clothes, toys and a comfortable life is not enough. We also need to give them confidence, awareness, communication skills and the knowledge to protect themselves. This discussion is for every mother, father, teacher and caregiver.
