The Castellows - Ways To Go, Walhalla, SC

The was ‪@thecastellows‬ encore at the Walhalla Performing Art Centre in South Carolina. The played Dancing in the Dark at the last song but the crowd enthusiastically requested "one more song!!!" and our favourite band came back. Interesting that Ways To Go used to be the typical opening song for many of the early shows I've seen, It was replaced with Place To Leave late in 2024 at headlining shows (check out the cozy shows in Stateesboro in the Blue Room or Milledgeville at Ned Kelly's) and when opening for Little Big Town. The opener got switched to a reworked No.7 Road with a rocky instrumental introduction and starting with an acapella chorus (instead of the typical first verse). I'll always associate Way To Go with a very good time that is coming ... that is a Castellows show! Like Pavlov's dog and his bell I was conditioned and rewarded over many shows hearing this song :)
