Some city squares seem to gather a life of their own. They remember footsteps, passing conversations, the ringing of a clock, rain on stone, and generations of people crossing the same open space for entirely different reasons. “Rasht After Rain” is an evening Persian jazz session inspired by Rasht Municipality Square; one of the most recognizable places in northern Iran. Beneath its clock tower and pale façades, the city seems to move at its own rhythm, somewhere between everyday life and memory. Rain belongs naturally to this landscape. It darkens the pavement, catches the light from cafés and windows, and turns the square into a field of reflections. Familiar melodies such as “Gole Pamchal,” “Salam Begoftam To Ro,” “Jane Maryam,” “Uchum Siyaye,” “Ranna,” and “Gole Yakh” appear along the way; not as a catalogue of nostalgia, but as voices passing through the city after dark. There is something comforting about a square that has witnessed so many lives and continues without ceremony. The clock sounds again. Someone crosses without an umbrella. A café remains open. People disappear into side streets, and the rain keeps falling. “Rasht After Rain” is music for wandering through that familiar northern night; between wet cobblestones, illuminated windows, old melodies, and a city that seems to carry its memories lightly while life continues around them. ────────────────────────────── 🎧 TRACKLIST 00:00 Gole Pamchal After Rain 03:18 Salam Begoftam To Ro 06:10 Jane Maryam in Rasht 09:20 Uchum Siyaye at Midnight 12:23 Ranna Under the Rain 15:07 The Clock Tower at Night 18:15 Gole Yakh on Wet Streets 22:00 Lights on Municipality Square 24:45 Rain on the Cobblestones 27:07 Beneath the White Façades 30:55 A Café Still Open 34:44 The Chime Across the Square 38:04 Walking Without an Umbrella 41:12 Reflections After Midnight 44:52 A Northern Night 49:05 Rain Beneath the Streetlights 52:15 The Square Grows Quiet 55:30 Last Walk Through Rasht 57:52 Until the Rain Stops ────────────────────────────── میدان شهرداری بعضی میدان‌ها انگار ریتم خودشان را دارند؛ ریتمی که از رفت‌وآمد آدم‌ها، صدای قدم‌ها، زنگ ساعت و همهمه‌ی شهری شکل می‌گیرد که لحظه‌ای از زندگی بازنمی‌ایستد. ────────────────────────────── 🕯️ PERFECT FOR ✦ Rainy evenings and late-night listening ✦ Quiet walks through the city ✦ Reading, writing, and reflective work ✦ Memories of Rasht, northern Iran, and familiar Persian melodies ────────────────────────────── 📻 ABOUT FARSI JAZZ Farsi Jazz is an experimental project that revives Persian musical heritage through jazz.
