367 Collins Falcons~🐦Dad brings a huge Prey, Mum takes it~5:20 pm 2026/10/15

#1 is today 14 days old #2 is today 13 day old #4 is today 9 days old. So it is totally normal, that #4 is much smaller than his siblings. There is no reason to be worry about. They all are doing fine and are well cared by the parents BTW: It's hard to say if #2 or #3 died. Both hatched at the same days, a few hours apart . So I could be wrong with #3 🤔 Info about the nest side: The nest is situated atop a skyscraper on Melbourne’s Collins Street. The falcons have been using the nest boxes on the building’s ledge since the early 1991st. Info by BirdLife Australia Raptor Group: Melbourne’s Resident CBD Falcons ( in Australia, CBD stands for Central Business District, which is the commercial and financial heart or downtown area of a city) Since 1991, a pair of Peregrine Falcons has been observed in a nest on a ledge at 367 Collins Street. As the only known Peregrine Falcon nesting site within Melbourne’s CBD, the building plays an important role in the ongoing breeding success of these fiercely territorial birds. From the foyer of the building (and on their computer screens at home), thousands of people each year enjoy watching CCTV footage of the birds as they lay their eggs and hatch their chicks from August onwards. https://birdlife.org.au/groups/birdli...
