J’AI RETROUVÉ MA VOIX — ANIMAE SONORA I Found My Voice Again | A Story in Twelve Songs One woman. Twelve chapters. A voice she thought she had lost. “J’ai retrouvé ma voix” is an original French chanson album that follows one continuous story—from heartbreak and uncertain beginnings to renewed love, independence and the courage to choose her own future. When the man she loves leaves her, she begins singing in a small Parisian café. At first, her voice trembles. Then, evening by evening, music becomes part of how she rebuilds her life. Someone in the audience keeps returning. Their relationship grows through ordinary moments: a first dinner, Sunday roses, a difficult conversation, two tickets to the sea. Alongside their love story, she begins to discover what her voice might make possible. An invitation to perform. Her mother in the front row. A farewell on a railway platform. And finally, a return to the café where everything began. The story opens with “Celui qui m’a choisie”—The One Who Chose Me—and closes with “Cette vie que je choisis”—This Life I Choose. Between those two titles lies the heart of the album: learning to welcome love while finding a life of your own. A deep, warm female contralto connects all twelve chapters. Piano, expressive French accordion, upright bass, delicate brushed drums and tender strings accompany the changing scenes. Some chapters unfold with the intimacy of a jazz trio. Others open into sweeping melodies. Near the end, a voice and a solitary accordion carry the sadness of a temporary farewell. “Et cette fois… Je chante pour moi aussi…” “And this time… I sing for myself too…” Listen from the beginning and follow the story, or use the chapter timestamps below.
