Patrolling Detroit from a Police Helicopter | The Shift - Michigan State Police

This week on The Shift, we take to the skies with the Michigan State Police Aviation Unit. Spend a full night aboard Trooper 2 with Chief Pilot Martin and Tactical Flight Officer Tasker as they patrol Detroit from above, monitor calls, track reckless drivers and support officers on the ground. From night vision and infrared imaging to the technology and teamwork inside a police helicopter, this episode offers a rare look at law enforcement from an entirely different perspective. Special thanks to the Michigan State Police for giving Red Watch Productions unprecedented access to document the work of their Aviation Unit. Lastly, big thanks to our sponsors, KVCC Police & Corrections Academy and Armor Express, for supporting The Shift and helping us continue telling these stories.
