Awake to Nearness ~ Movement I from Ocean of Love

This spoken word song was written following Jolynn Ybarra's guided meditation on August 12, 2026. ( available on Global Son's website) This song grew from a desire for awakened spiritual perception—a prayer to behold more clearly the goodness, nearness, and life of God. The meditation included the thought expressed by William Blake: “If the doors of perception were cleansed every thing would appear to man as it is, Infinite.” That image became a doorway into a deeply personal prayer for enlightened sight, heightened awareness, transformation, and a fuller experience of divine Love. The prayer is rooted in awareness rather than striving. Divine nearness precedes human effort. The central movement is not toward earning Presence, but toward perceiving, receiving, and surrendering to the Life already given in Christ. Hunger and thirst are not failures of faith; they become postures of receptivity. The closing desire to be satisfied with God's goodness prepares the larger set architecture: NEARNESS → SURRENDER → OVERFLOW. There are two more Movements (coming soon) in this Ocean of Love series. Stay tuned :) ❤️ Thank you for listening and for sharing this quiet space with me.
