Unveiling the Secrets: Automation and Recall on an Analog Console

🚀 Getting better at mixing on your own is slow and honestly kind of lonely. Mix & Momentum is a free community where you'll get real feedback on your mixes, live coaching, monthly challenges, and people around you who keep you moving. Come hang out. https://www.skool.com/mix-momentum-11... 🎹 Huge thanks to our sponsor: Quiztones. The ear training app I've personally used for over a decade and still recommend to every engineer. https://quiztones.com 🎚 Let's work together on some music: https://joshwestmix.com/ ---------------- Today I show you how I use automation to really make the track have character and movement. All automation is done by hand on a 96 channel analog SSL Duality Fuse console. You can download the RAW audio files from this mix at this link: https://www.cambridge-mt.com/ms/mtk/ The song is A Reason to Leave by Ghostly Beard. If you have a song that you would love to see me mix in an analog pov style, send me an email at joshwestmix@gmail.com. I would love to show off your song by putting your instruments through this lovely analog gear. If you have any questions at all, feel free to ask me in the comments.
