8400 RPM Naturally Aspirated V8 💥 15-Year-Old ICE Car 🆕 Mercenary Series — Retesting the BMW E92 M3 Carbon Roof on Track! 🔖 Wild Coach — Testing the Owner’s Lap Time During a Track-Day Coaching Session 🏁 Tianfu International Circuit 🌡️ Around 33°C|Sunny|Dry Track|Short test, less than half a session 🏎️ 2011 BMW M3 (E92) Carbon Roof ⏱️ Lap Time: 01:37.72 (First Flying Lap) • Mostly Stock • Driving Mode: Power ON|DSC OFF|Transmission S6 • SAILUN PT01 Semi-Slick Street Tires (Worn Flat) • F265/35 R18|R295/30 R18 • MOTVE R60 Street-Spec Front Calipers|Stock Rear Calipers • 2× Recaro CS Bucket Seats (Similar Weight to Stock) • ST XTA Plus 3 Coilovers • S65 4.0L Naturally Aspirated V8 • Stock Power: 420 HP|400 Nm • Official Curb Weight: 1675 KG 📝 Test Summary: This time, the owner put the worn-out PT01s left over from his F87 M2C on the M3. The car also got new street-performance coilovers and MOTVE R60 front calipers, plus two bucket seats. They weigh about the same as stock, but the bolstering still isn’t hardcore enough — my body was still moving around. At least better than stock. ☀️ The weather wasn’t nearly as brutally hot, the engine was making much more normal power, and there was no passenger this time. Top speed finally broke 190 km/h, getting close to 192 km/h. ⏳ Time was tight, so once again, the lap time came on the first flying lap. Still playing it safe in a few places while getting used to the car, with most of the time loss coming from a few big opposite-lock moments. There was another window to push, but I messed up and had another big save, missing a 1:36.xxx. Even on these worn-out old tires, stopping at 1:37 is still a little disappointing… 🫠 This old engine really gave it everything in the summer heat. Oil temp could hit around 130°C after just one lap, but thankfully dropped back down after 1–2 cooling laps. 🛞 With a fresh set of PT01s and a cleaner lap, 1:35 should be no problem. Adding some negative camber would make it even better to drive — the stock alignment is clearly not aggressive enough for the track. But it is, after all, the owner’s daily driver, so that’s perfectly reasonable. ⚙️ Pure driver feedback + an 8400 RPM NA V8 — who wouldn’t love the E92 M3? - #motorsport #trackday #bmw #carracing #mpower #e92m3 #bmwm3 #m3
