I was completely blown away by the backing track—more emotional, passionate, and ballad-like than ever before—and before I knew it, I’d submitted my entry. Looking back now, the process of gradually adding each phrase to this roughly 90-second (1:30) piece involved a lot of trial and error. I think I’ve finally created a track that makes me think, “This is it.”
