The Narmada, Also known as Rewa, originates from a small reservoir called Narmada Kund, located in Amarkantak, Madhya Pradesh. The river flows west for 1,312 km from its source and drains into the Gulf of Khambhat, the Arabian Sea. A naturally occurring stone found in the Narmada River is known as the Narmadeshwar Shivling, and people consider it a manifestation of Lord Shiva.
