I've got a lot of clamps. Maybe too many. And for years, they've been hanging from a steel beam in my workshop, taking up space and occasionally threatening my head. With no wall space left for a conventional clamp rack, I came up with a slightly ridiculous idea. But could it actually work? In this episode of While I'm Building Anyway..., I tackle my clamp storage problem with French cleats, plywood, and a somewhat unconventional approach to shop organization. The solution: I turned an ordinary door into a clamp storage system, using both sides to hold everything from pipe clamps to parallel clamps. The racks are inspired by the Jonathan Katz-Moses French cleat design, with a few adaptations for my shop. And somehow, there's still room for more.
