In this Cultural Safety Champions Seminar Dr. Terry Ngarritjan Kessaris presented on the topic of “White-on-White social practices and the maintenance of hegemony’’ About the presenter: Terry (Ngarritjan) Kessaris is an Alawa/Marra scholar whose work challenges whiteness and colonial practices and explores the interface between covert and overt, and individual and broad-level practices of racially hegemonic social order and spaces. Much of her teaching has been in the context of pre-service teacher education informed by her personal and family experiences in urban, rural and remote Australia.
