Turns out the new Bleachers record is Secret Garden: The Album, a gentle slog that never really takes you anywhere exciting. Outside of a few, each song feels like an itch that isn't being scratched, a potential not being reached, an experiment falling flat, a romantic comedy where the two characters peck on the cheek but never fuck (unless Sam Dew is on lead vocals). This may be one of Jack's biggest head scratchers to date, and he's put out quite a few.
