They can't both be right, so in this video I go through the flow temperature dial properly: what it actually does, why it's different from your wall thermostat, and what it's really worth on your gas bill under the current Ofgem price cap. I go through five myths about that dial, one at a time, including why your mate's setting won't necessarily suit your house, and why getting it right on day one isn't always the end of the story. If you only do one thing tonight: find the dial with the little radiator symbol on the front of your boiler, write down what it's set to, and check it against your manual. Don't take the casing off.
