Dear listeners, Welcome to this series on Sūtra Vāhinī written by Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba. In this book, Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba has selected and explained twelve aphorisms from the ब्रह्मसूत्राःs for our understanding and contemplation. We have seen in the previous video, Sūtra Vāhinī four, that the third qualification for inquiry into Brahman, consists of the six virtues: mind control, body and sense control, withdrawal from sensory objects, forbearance, unwavering faith, and equanimity. In Video Four, we learned the meaning of each of these six virtues. Now, the fourth qualification for inquiry into Brahman is Mumukshutvam, the longing for liberation. This is the final qualification stipulated in Sadhana Chatustaya. The following is an excerpt from Sūtra Vāhinī, from the explanation of the first aphorism.
