Today's press conference was President Lee Jae Myung's seventh while at the top office and comes amid low approval ratings and much speculation about his policy agenda both at home and abroad. For more I have freelance journalist Yang Chien-Hao from Taiwan here in the studio. Chien-Hao welcome back. I also have writer Colin Marshall with us. Colin it's good to have you here. 1) Chien-Hao, let's begin with the purpose and significance of the press conference held by President Lee Jae Myung earlier on this Friday. 2) Colin, this particular conference follows the president's lowest approval ratings since taking office. What are your observations on the ground with regard to the current public sentiment? 3) Chien-Hao, you were at the press conference. What has been the foreign media response? 4) Colin, real-time comments from the public were also included the discussion. What are your thoughts with regard to President Lee Jae Myung's approach to communicating with the public? 5) Chien-Hao, let’s look at some of President Lee's thoughts on major issues. First, what was his position on the potential deployment of troops to the Strait of Hormuz? 6) Chien-Hao, what did he say about tensions within the ruling party and the pace of his reform agenda? 7) Colin, in Korean politics, housing and education can be especially explosive issues. Why do these issues carry so much weight here, and can the president's answers at this press conference help ease public concerns? 8) Chien-Hao, meanwhile, the Korea-Central Asia summit ended on Thursday, and President Lee is scheduled to attend the UN General Assembly and visit Mexico next week.
