Exploring Beautiful Jumla, Western Nepal | 2 months during Lockdown 2021

When they announced that there would be another lockdown in Kathmandu, Khadak and I decided to escape to his hometown of Jumla Bazar, in western Nepal. For those two months, from May to July, we experienced the changing of seasons and the rhythms of agricultural life - through the harvest of barley, the planting of rice, the greening of the hills, and the emergence of wild truffles and strawberries in the forest. So grateful for the opportunity to spend this extended time with family, learning and living the Jumli way of life and exploring this beautiful, fascinating, yet seldom visited side of Nepal.
