I think the Thousand Sons might be the first Astartes faction/legion I like from the Imperium. They have a small yet important start, in the beginning, they were like all other Astartes but with time they manifested powers that only they possessed which made them the pariah of the Legions but that never broke them, and finally their Primarch their father came into the picture he helped his sons in more ways than one.
