PSALM 41 — BLESSED IS HE THAT CONSIDERETH THE POOR | SONG OF WORSHIP
Psalm 41 is a deeply moving song of compassion, mercy, healing, trust, deliverance, and praise to Yehowah.
David begins by declaring a beautiful blessing upon those who care for the weak and the needy:
“Blessed is he that considereth the poor:
Yehowah will deliver him in the day of evil.” — Psalm 41:1
This Scripture-inspired Song of Worship brings Psalm 41 to life through reverent, emotional, and cinematic worship music.
Psalm 41 reminds us that compassion matters to God. Yehowah sees those who show mercy to others, and David expresses confidence in God’s protection and sustaining grace.
“Yehowah will preserve him, and keep him alive,
And he shall be blessed upon the earth.” — Psalm 41:2
David also brings his own weakness before God and cries for mercy:
“I said, O Yehowah, have mercy upon me:
Heal my soul; for I have sinned against thee.” — Psalm 41:4
This Psalm speaks honestly about suffering, illness, betrayal, and opposition. Yet David does not lose his confidence in Yehowah.
Even when someone close to him turns against him, he continues to place his hope in God:
“Yea, mine own familiar friend, in whom I trusted,
Who did eat of my bread,
Hath lifted up his heel against me.” — Psalm 41:9
Through every difficulty, David trusts that Yehowah will uphold him:
“And as for me, thou upholdest me in mine integrity,
And settest me before thy face for ever.” — Psalm 41:12
Psalm 41 closes with a beautiful declaration of worship:
“Blessed be Yehowah, the God of Israel,
From everlasting and to everlasting.
Amen, and Amen.” — Psalm 41:13
May this worship song encourage you to walk in compassion, seek God’s mercy, trust Him during difficult seasons, and remember that Yehowah remains faithful even when people disappoint us.
