A Faceplate is a quick-action popup: click a device symbol on any screen (valve, motor, pump, PID loop...) and a window opens with full status + controls for that exact device — no need to draw a separate screen per device. 10 built-in templates, ready to use or customize: ⚙ Motor — Start/Stop, running lamp, speed + current ⊙ Pump — Start/Stop, running lamp, flow + pressure ⧓ Valve — Open/Close, state lamp, position feedback ◔ PID Loop — PV / writable SP / output, deviation, Auto–Manual 42 Analog Indicator — live value with engineering units + alarm limits ● Digital Command — On/Off command with a state lamp ⚙ VFD/Drive — writable speed reference, frequency + current, Run/Fault ● Hand–Off–Auto — three-position mode selector with live mode readout 42 Analog Output — writable output % with Auto/Manual selector 42 KPI Readout — big-number tile + bargraph + sparkline for one analog value One faceplate, reused across dozens of devices: each template takes a single device parameter — every binding inside resolves against it. Drop the same Valve faceplate on Valve1, Valve2, Valve3... no redrawing. Safe command gating (permissive): every command button is guarded by that device's own "remote allowed" flag — if the PLC is in local/program mode, the button locks instead of sending a command nobody will act on. Context-aware tabs: beyond the main view (Overview), a faceplate can add Alarms (standing alarms), Events (recent journal), Trend, and Interlocks (lockout conditions) — all auto-scoped to the device you opened, none hand-drawn per screen. ISA-101 compliant: command buttons are a minimum 44px tall — sized for a gloved hand on a real industrial panel, not a mouse pointer on an office monitor. Theme-aware: no color is hard-pinned — faceplates automatically follow the system's light/dark theme, consistent with the rest of the UI.
